Release the Hounds is a Lumpen Radio program hosted by Lidia Vomito and Bryan Chump Change, featuring interviews with local DJs, musicians, and artists rooted in Chicago’s punk, metal, goth, and horror communities. Lidia and Bryan have spent more than two decades supporting these scenes, and this year Release the Hounds celebrates a decade on Lumpen Radio.
On November 1, Release the Hounds will present “Ghouls Night Out,” featuring conversations with Bridgeport artist Night Natalie, members of Fantasma Negra, and local DJ Saggitari, along with live sets by Fantasma Negra and Saggitari. Co-hosted by Release the Hounds and Chicago Gothic Scene, the anniversary celebrates the artists and communities that have sustained Chicago’s underground music and cultural scenes.
The live broadcast will air from 6:00–8:00 PM on WLPN-LP 105.5 FM and stream worldwide at lumpenradio.com. Following the broadcast, guests are invited to stay for a reception and celebration until 9:00 PM.

SPECIAL GUESTS + COLLABORATORS:
Fantasma Negra is a post-punk goth rock band from Little Village, southside neighborhood of Chicago. In Fantasma Negra, we have Alicia Quiroga Gonzalez as the front woman singer and guitarist, Dave Grek on guitar, Gus Matchain on bass and Henry Rocha on drums. All songs are created in a collaborative effort. They have put out their debut album called “13” and recent EP called “L.U.S.T. The band is currently working on releasing an EP in 2027 and on in-house music videos to tailor their stories for each song into a visual art form as you’re listening through the motion of what it’s like being a Fantasma in the city of wind and across the globe.
DJ Saggitari is a Chicago native who brings a distinctive mix of goth, darkwave, and industrial to the dancefloors he plays. Dark, hypnotic, and heavy, his sets will provide the perfect soundtrack to the Chicago nightlife you know and love, Saggitari is also the host and resident DJ of Ritual Chicago, a recurring Chicago goth night, making him a familiar presence in the city’s music scene.
Night Natalie is Natalie Djordjevic, a librarian with a life-long passion for film and physical media. She sources, restores, and remasters lost and rare media to create VHS and cassettes to make them accessible. She also works in many different mediums and makes art that homages her favorite genre movies and idols. When Natalie has free time, she’s watching movies at the Music Box and trying all of Chicago’s best food with her partner, Jesse.
Chicago Gothic Scene is a collective for the Goth community of Chicago/and or Greater Chicago Area, founded in 2023.
