Hosted by the Korean Cultural Alliance for Palestine, Hyeonjang: Sound and Struggle is a Korean-language show at the nexus of the political and musical underground. Meaning “site” in Korean, the word hyeonjang is used in popular discourse to describe both sites of live performances and sites of political action. We conduct interviews with Korean activists, artists, and cultural workers, interweaving them with musical programs featuring cutting-edge Korean musicians.
