After 10 years of bringing community run radio to Chicago’s airwaves, Lumpen Radio has transitioned to a Hybrid-Digital broadcast! Alongside this major upgrade, we are proud to introduce a brand new station ID. As of July 20, 2026, please refer to us as:
WLPN-LP AND HD-ONE CHICAGO 105.5FM LUMPEN RADIO
Our new Hybrid-Digital signal brings brighter, crisper audio and deeper bass to every radio within range of the station’s antenna located in Douglass Park. In addition to audio improvements, the update now provides visual station and song identification to compatible digital receivers.

-Lumpen Radio will still broadcast 24/7 from Co-Prosperity at 3219 S. Morgan St. in Bridgeport – The Community of the Future.
-We will strengthen our commitment to providing accessible programming with more than 80 multigenerational, multicultural, and multilingual talk shows and musical broadcasts.
-Our station will continue to be available online LIVE at lumpenradio.com and via the Lumpen Radio app available on Google Play and the App Store.

-WLPN-LP was co-founded in 2016 by Logan Bay and Ed Marszewski and has been under the direction of Station Director Stephanie Manriquez and Lead Engineer/Senior Producer Charly García since 2023.
-Lumpen Radio provides inclusive programming in English, Spanish, Cantonese, Polish, and Korean with many more languages in development.
