Neighborhood Audio Portraits: September 2024

Lumpen Radio invited artists, storytellers, and community members to contribute to Neighborhood Audio Portraits. This project focused on Little Village, Bronzeville, and Back of the Yards/New City seeks to document and celebrate the unique cultural, artistic, and human elements that define these Chicago communities.

Neighborhood Audio Portraits is an experimental series that invites Chicagoans to create audio collages that capture the experiences of residents in these communities. Each audio piece will serve as a story, illustrating the profound impact and rich heritage of the neighborhood it represents.
