Annie Howard

Annie Howard is a journalist, historian, urbanist, and organizer based in Bridgeport. Since 2021, she's been an organizer with the Chicago Housing Justice League, a coalition of community organizations working to pass Just Cause for Eviction, legislation that would keep Chicago's renters from unjust displacement. In addition to her organizing work, Howard is a writer working on a first book, which will explore histories of queer and trans people in cities and the ways in which these groups have fought to make cities more inclusive for all.
