Paul Nixon
Paul bought his first tape when he was 6: Michael Jackson "Thriller". Since that day, he has collected thousands of tapes, CDs, records and mp3s. Music is his obsession. After leaving New Jersey, the land of WFMU, he moved to Chicago in 1997. He's a DePaul University music school alum and plays saxophone, guitar, baritone guitar, bass and keyboards. Paul's a veteran at Laurie's Planet Of Sound, and was also a long-standing intern at Thrill Jockey Records and Numero Group. He is an early bird. The show What Day Is It!?! is an extension of his love of how eclectic music can work together to create something new and mind-warping.
